Our 2020 Virtual Cooper Norcross Run the Bridge Event presented by AmeriHealth NJ is officially in the books! Always held on the first Sunday in November, we wished we could have been in person this year to Run the Bridge, but like so many events and races across the country, and with the safety and well being of our Larc family, friends, sponsors, volunteers, and participants as our top priority, WE WENT VIRTUAL!
The event hosted 413 runners and 159 walkers from October 26-November 1. Participants were excited to pick up their packets or get them in the mail. This year in addition to their run shirt, they also received a pint glass with our virtual logo etched on it. We got emails and photos sharing their race day experiences with us, and thanking us for putting on the virtual race and for all we do for Larc’s Kids! Some of them were longtime participants who were happy to be able to continue their tradition and add to their shirt collection; some of them were new participants that were excited to be taking part in our event for the first time; and some of them were Larc families that were so grateful to be able to give back to Larc!
So many of our sponsors were able to stand by us even though they have faced some significant challenges during this time too. We are always so grateful to everyone who makes this event possible, but the support we have received this year is so meaningful and poignant given the new normal we are all living in.
