Inermediate student working with teacher - Larc School, Belmawr, NJ - private special education

Admissions

Larc welcomes the opportunity to get to know you and your family.

Larc staff will work together with you and your child study team to determine if Larc School would be an appropriate placement for your child.

Admissions Process

Larc School accepts students at any time during the school year, including during our Extended School Year (ESY) program in the summer months.

If you or your local school district Child Study Team are considering Larc School, we encourage you visit and tour our school to learn more about our program and facilities.

Our staff will work together with you and the Child Study Team to determine if Larc School is an appropriate placement for your child. If so, the Child Study Team makes a “referral” for your child to our school. The Child Study team will arrange to provide Larc School with the student’s IEP, relevant evaluations and other records. Child Study Team members may also initiate a referral at any time.

Students that are admitted and enrolled begin attending Larc School as soon as their IEP calls for the placement to begin.

Tuition Costs

Every child is entitled to a free and appropriate education. All special education services — including placement in a private school — are funded through a combination of federal, state and local tax dollars. Using this funding, your school district pays the costs of tuition and transportation for private special education students. Parents cannot be asked to pay for their child’s special education. Our administrators would be happy to discuss any of your financial concerns.
