After School Activities
Activities Clubs Provide Enriching Learning Experiences…and FUN!
Larc’s After School Activities Club provides opportunities for students to join friends and engage in adventurous learning activities.
Our students work hard all day at school and look forward to taking breaks and having fun. The After School Activities Club is open to all Larc students and takes place once a month from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Larc staff members join in the fun so that each student has an adult with them.
The Club has taken trips to farms, parks, bowling alleys, diners, shopping malls, downtown Haddonfield, the Fun Plex, We Rock the Spectrum Kids Gym, Phillies’ Games, and more.
Along the way students are guided and encouraged to make decisions related to the activities in which they’re engaged, and learn social and independence skills they will need in later life.
Larc’s After School Art Club provides students with enhanced sensory and movement experiences through various creative art making experiences. One recent project included water color paints and lemons. Students dripped lemon juice on their paintings to create unique shapes and designs. Some adventurous students had extra fun tasting the lemons too.
After School Activities are an extension of Larc’s Respite program for parents. While student spend time with their friends learning at novel activities and in the community, families also get a needed break.
